Visual Design and installation for the Whistler Blackcomb Foundations VIP after party for the arrival of the Olympic Torch. Held at the Whistler Canada Olympic house. Support installation and operation were handled by Suez Holland and Andy Chambers of Electrabelle (while I was performing my A/V show in Vancouver for Code Live).

CODE Live’s opening night concert stars two of the top acts in audiovisual performance.

San Francisco's Mike Relm is known for live shows that feature audio blends matched with video images, all manipulated in real time. The critically acclaimed video ”turntablist,” in his trademark suit and glasses, has toured with the Blue Man Group and performed during the Closing Ceremonies of the 2007 Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Addictive TV has blazed a new trail in the art of audio/video remixing. The British duo’s live show has blown away audiences in over 50 countries, supporting acts such as the Chemical Brothers, Goldfrapp and Moby and earning the group two nods as the world’s best video performance artists according to DJ Magazine. The collective recently started officially remixing feature films, creating viral videos out of movies such as Iron Man and the Academy Award-winning Slumdog Millionaire.

DJ K-Tel (aka Technomorph)

K-Tel has been developing mad skills in Vancouver’s film industry: Sound Designing animation projects for CN, MTV and FOX working with Danny Antonucci and Gary Larson, and picture Editing with local legends Richard Martin, Greg Middleton and Bob Aschman. All while still Djing on the side for the last 24 years. Then one day local filmmaker / VJ legend Tony Pantages approached K-Tel about joining the Morpheus Project visual team…and Vancouver hasn’t been the same since.

As the technology has grown, more pixels and sound samples are able to be processed and Technomorph has been able to venture further down that technological rabbit hole, morphing and weaving all of his skills as Sound Designer / Editor / VJ and DJ together.

Shambhala - Fractal Forrest VJing

Technomorph has signed on to do 4 VJ sets at the Shambhala festival this summer in the amazing Fractal Forrest.

Crypto Music Video Edit and Design Started

After assisting in doing some video reprojections back on to singer Mikela Jay for her new video “Crypto” composed with Fat Benjamin. We are now excited to get down to doing some editing and compositing with Director and Cinematographer Greg Middleton. Greg recently won the 2009 Genie award for best Cineamtography for his work on Fugitive Pieces.

Check the Demo section for new clip showcasing my new DJ / VJ Combo performance that I’ve been working on. I also am DJ K-Tel and having been performing visuals serperately at events. Now utilizing Traktor , Ableton Live and Modul8, I am now able to perform both at the same time (and not screw up) having the visuals follow tighter sync and theme than I’ve ever been able to before. I’ll be posting up a “how to” video with both the technical and creative tips and tricks to how I’ve got it all working. I’m very stoked about the possiblities and your gonna see some crazy stuff from me in the future!
